Further suppressing cookie consent and app/ad banners in Brave Android?

I’m trying to use Brave on my Google Pixel more, but I find the browsing experience to be not as good as Firefox with a properly configured uBlock Origin.

The first example is with the cookie consent notification. I’m aware Brave has that option and I do have it enabled. It’s good, but not as good as Firefox with uBlock Origin. Is there anything else I can do to make this better?

With Proton Mail, when trying to sign into my account, there is a banner on top asking me to download the Proton app. This banner doesn’t appear on Firefox. What else can I do with Brave on Android?

Thank you.

You can enable additional filter lists. In addition to EasyList Cookie list that you probably have enabled, you can also use Fanboy’s Annoyances + uBO Annoyances list and Fanboy’s Mobile Notifications list. I have all of these enabled and rarely see any cookie notifications or other annoyances.

Thanks for the help, but unfortunately it didn’t work. I went to Proton Mail and it still asked me to download the app. I did restart the browser, but it didn’t work.

Is there a reason why you don’t want to use the Proton Mail app on Android?

In Brave, you can block elements.

I guess it’s because of the notifications, as Proton Mail uses Google to push notifications on Android.

Exactly it.

Have you tried the Block element tool on the Brave Shields?

No, how do I use it?

Thank you! However, it would be great if there were a script or some sort of code to add to content filtering to disable it? I’m actually shocked that Firefox with uBlock Origin is that powerful and blocks so much stuff. Brave is good, but not quite as good as Firefox. I just wish Mozilla would put more resources into its mobile browser and develop it faster to keep up with Chromium.
