While I could get my iPhone to sense the QR code on the pics of the scarfs that were lying flat on the website, it didn’t sense a QR code in the photo below… which I considered to be the most realistic situation based on the way that they are wearing them.

My graphene OS phone doesn’t pic up QR codes in Photo mode unless the camera is specifically set on QR Code. So, if I were taking a pic of these people in the background, it would be ineffective.

Plus, as others have mentioned, the cost is outrageous. I do understand the R&D costs, but this is a $15-$20 idea at best. While they might initiate a conversation about privacy while you are wearing, they are ineffective overall, so the cost needs to reflect that.

Yes, GOS specific safety measure.
Those products are not to protect yourself in this situation but to raise awareness against your regular John Doe with their iPhone/Samsung device in the street.
