The most private way to use facebook?

I’m in some niche market where people mostly use facebook marketplace unfortunately. By the time I sit in front of my desktop and login, items are often sold already, so I would like to use facebook on my android phone in order to be quicker once listings are placed.

What’s the most private way to access it? I thought to use a browser like Cromite, Ironfox or Brave (I’m not sure does fb supports PWA). As I have a Samsung phone, I can also use Dual app application to clone one of these browsers, but I’m not sure is it better to use Shelter and work profile in order to isolate it from my main profile?

Is there any better way I’m not aware of?

Definitely PWA would be best, FB supports it.
As second choice I would install FB lite in a work profile/private space.

If I recall correctly Samsung implementation of secure folder is somewhat flawed so maybe it’s better to use Shelter if they’ve not patched it.

Instead of PWA or FB lite I use SlimSocial.
See: GitHub - rignaneseleo/SlimSocial-for-Facebook: Light version of Facebook. Light both in the weight and in the use.

It is kind of PWA, but in it’s own app with lightweight design, privacy, ability to hide ads and a better user interface.

Install PWA using Brave (check PG for recommended configuration, be mindful not to enable forgetful browsing and clear data after exit, otherwise it will earse your PWA cache) would be a decent choice.

I would recommend against installing Facebook app on your phone, given recent discoveries.

I am sorry if it sound a newbie question.
But by PWA, you mean Progressive Web Apps ?

If yes, how could I use it ?

Yes that’s correct. Open your browser, I use Brave, open the website, click the tree dots menu and select Add to home screen or Install.

If the website does not support PWA you will have just a shortcut on your home that opens in the browser, otherwise it will work as an independent app.

This just came out, but I don’t know how private or secure it is

Good to see there is another solution which seems very similar to SlimSocial.

NoBook seems to be in active development to get less bugs, so at the moment I (would) prefer the stable SlimSocial.

I’m using IronFox and going to m.facebook.com then just saving it as a PWA works flawlessly and nice thing is you can load your ads blocking extensions into IronFox.

Just be aware that if you create an account using a VPN, it will either not work or you will be suspended soon after. Create it from a public hotspot, maybe take a random picture or upload one, and follow a few of suggested friends- even if they are total randoms -.

Then only you can come home and use it for a VPN.

One of the best decisions I made was to completely quit Facebook. At first, I felt like I was missing out by not being on it, but the great thing is that after a while, even the thought of it makes me sick.
