Hello, i got downloaded SimpleX as AppImage info Persistent folder but each reboot it wants me to create new profile.
Tried also to move files to dotfiles or create symlinks to dotfiles but then i got crash errors and database still wants to be created on amnesic part no matter what i do.
Is there any way to make SimpleX account persistent or only one time use?
i don’t know the answer, but this is definitely one of the worst aspects of SimpleX Chat, that you can’t log in from anywhere and it’s really tied to a device unless you actually do a migration process with the database.
have you tried just going into a terminal and installing flatpak? i am seeing different things on whether flatpak works in tails
Didnt tried flatpak, however i now tried to install other app as flatpak (Picocrypt) and almost smashed my pc haha i’m new to terminal so everything other than appimage is hard for me

Yes, that’s good and i love that, however i found some way, backup database file which i can save to persistent storage, eventually encrypt it additionally
I remember reading a guide on it a few months ago but since lost it… I did however come across this other guide on Reddit from 2024 and I’m wondering if it’ll work for you?
