Reccommend VoIP Provider? - Australia

Hi there,

I am looking for a VoIP provider for an Australian user. Unfortunately, MySudo (no AU numbers) and VoIP.ms (no SMS outside US and Canada) are not viable options. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations or other alternatives.

Thanks.

I can’t speak or vouch for the service, but this provider appears to have an Australia option.

I skimmed the privacy policy before linking.

Company does not share the following to any Third Party:

  • Mobile or Web Opt-In Information
  • Customer PII
  • Customer Usage
  • Phone Numbers

Thank you for your suggestion. It looks great, although the only thing is that phone numbers outside the US and Canada cannot receive SMS texts. Do you happen to have any other recommendations? Thanks again.

Maxo.com.au are good for virtual australian mobile numbers. It’s probably not the cheapest you can get though.

Thanks for your suggestion, they look promising. A bit on the expensive side though. Have you used them before? Do they require KYC?

They’re trustworthy if that’s what you want to know.

As for KYC I think you need a credit card, but afaik they don’t ask for ID or anything like that.

You could try the whirlpool forums in the VOIP section for other providers.

Edit: crazytel seems to be half the price for a mobile DID. Haven’t used them before though

No KYC would be good for privacy. I haven’t been able to find anything about ID requirements with Maxo unless you can personally vouch for it when you signed up for them. Their privacy policy is also pretty solid.

Crazytel is definitely cheaper, but unfortunately they block VPN usage when signing up and paying from what I’ve seen. Their privacy policy is also good though.

I’ve also seen Voipline Telecom, but they are quite expensive.

Pretty sure Maxo blocks you from logging in from a VPN too, unless that’s changed recently.

So Maxo don’t let you recharge your account with a VPN active? When you signed up with them, do you remember them asking for ID? Because I’ve just found that Crazytel does.
