Hi, I did see a techlore clips video similar to my question but i have a few more concerns.
I currently use Simplelogin with my Proton account on the free plan. Custom domains and and paying is not an option for me at this time.
Im mostly concerned of somehow losing my aliases if maybe in the future Simplelogin changes anything for whatever reason, especially on the free plan.
These aliases are used for my social accounts and game account i spent money on and im worried of this risk.
The best advice we have is to buy your own domain using https://namecheap.com (e.g. $10/yr is typically the cost). Sometimes you can find it cheaper, see https://tld-list.com/. Then you could use our service (for free) with your custom domain name and make unlimited aliases at https://forwardemail.net. If you own your own domain you can switch providers at anytime.

Thats nice but, I did literally just state i have no money or options to do this. This also doesnt answer my question
This is the same risk that users took by signing up at the now defunct email service Skiff with a free @skiff.com
mail account – and Skiff shutdown, and therefore users have to go to every service they signed up with using their name@skiff.com
and change it to something else. If you use your own domain you protect yourself, as long as you renew your domain name every year.
You do have point. Im glad I left skiff before that whole thing happened, but I asked some other places and I think I might stick with the Simplelogin plan until I find a better solution. I dont have many accounts anyway so there isnt gonna be enough for me to change
