OneNote Linux implementation

I’ve recently decided, as a home project, to refurbish an old thinkpad T450 that’s been gathering dust. In addition to changing the screen and battery, I also moved to Linux (Mint), and have been happy so far.
However, I’ve found myself still attached to the Microsoft ecosystem, with an office365 family account, which (privacy concerns aside) is a great deal. I’ve managed to use OneDrive with rclone, which has worked excellently, and LibreOffice covers the rest of my bases.
I’ve yet to find a way to implement the only actually good piece of software in the 365 bundle, namely OneNote.
Do you have any recommendations for front-ends/linux clients which may allow me to use OneNote on my laptop and sync it with the phone app?

It’s curious because personally I wish Microsoft has something like Notion or Obsidian instead of OneNote. The thing I hate the most from OneNote is how the font size on your notes doesn’t adapt properly between Android and Windows screen size. Also giving you’re already using LibreOffice maybe it’s wiser to go for something like Proton Drive instead of OneDrive.

Mainly because OneDrive is being paid for by someone else, and is essentially free for me - I’m not married to the ecosystem, but it’s hard to convince others to switch.

For me, its the capability to write wherever on the page, the built-in OCR which is necessary for my work, and the option to add images. I don’t have experience with markdown, so I feel like Obsidian or a similar system would involve additional learning which gets in the way of what i want to do (take notes).

You can use a web browser interface for OneNote by launching the particular OneNote data file in OneDrive. The browser interface does not have 100% feature compatibility with the OneNote app.

The webapp version is shit.

Personally I use winapps (with a VM) to run onenote. Works well enough.

If you don’t need sync then crossover runs onenote too

check justnote.cc I use it recently and yearly plan cost around $5

Give Joplin a look
