Looking for an Android app to track gym progress

What Android apps are you using to track gym progress?

I like this one:
Massive (Track your reps and sets in the gym, completely offline.)

It takes soms time to fill it for the first time, but then it is fine to use.

I couldn’t find one I liked on f-droid but I found one Aurora called Daily Strength and just turned off the network access. Some workouts are locked behind a paywall but I just created my own workout plan and it works well.

Wger is quite decent but use the website to fill the workout plan instead of the app. After that you will probably be good to go.

They keep doing improvements and is getting better to use.

I looked at that recently, and found it really didn’t have the customizability I wanted. There was some difference in feature set as well with the web version and the apps.

In the end I just found it easier to go with a spreadsheet and use a template like:

I only use my notes. I have a note per year and add my work out every session with the reps and sets and dates. I don’t need fancy graphs or stuff. If I am progressing then everything is ok.
For calories burned I just eye it for now as i used to use other invasive apps for that so now i sort of know. And at the end it doesn’t matter as it will show at the scale and tune up my consumption of calories for that.
For tracking caloric consumption i use Waistline is PERFECT. At the start you have to add a lot of foods but now almost everything i eat is in there so no need for that anymore. Just make sure to have backups

For a simple habit tracker, Loop Habit Tracker is open source for Android. Handles yes/no as well as measurable goals.

Yeah so basically tabular data, which is why a spreadsheet makes so much sense. I did that because the templates came with the various graphs and i don’t have to think about formatting or anything, just add the number to the cell. If I want the data in some other format, getting it out of a spreadsheet will be trivial.

I’m also unsatisfied with the current state of the app but they had changed quite quickly the interface along the last months. I have it on my phone looking at it as a tool with great potential but I agree that a spreadsheet can simplify and give you more than the app has to offer today.

What do you use to edit spreadsheets on Android?

onlyoffice because it allows me to do it offline. Most of the others require an account of some kind.

Did you try Collabora Office? That one doesn’t require an account too.
