I also feel like reality in the US as a body is in this unusual and abnormal fugue state where the host body knows it but would rather continue being in it than face sobriety at risk of withdrawal actually killing them acting as the natural whiplash.
Not sure if that makes sense but that’s how this fever dream feels. The apathy, idiocracy, and numbing from the hopelessness that which should have been a revolution is beyond demoralizing.

I understand where your feelings are coming from, but you aren’t as alone in your thinking as you might feel. I don’t live in a particularly partisan area, and there are plenty of people around me who are disgusted/horrified at what is happening.
Best advice I can give is to vote, protest when able, and otherwise focus on your local community. Try to cooperate with others to make it more resilient in the face of our multiple mounting crises.
