Does PayPal easily provide information about payments you made with PayPal to governments, like Google and Facebook, and not with difficulty like Proton does?

For example, if I live in the European Union, would PayPal easily share information about my payments with my government? Is PayPal recognized like Google in terms of readily providing your information, even if it is not based in my home country, similar to companies like Google and Facebook, and not like Proton, which does everything it can to avoid giving information to the government? Thanks.

Yes. If asked or ordered to they can easily do that.

Depending on the order, they usually are obligated to hand data either way.

Entities that do not easily comply with regulatory matters can typically be viewed on the “Enforcement Actions” page of the FTC. I have not searched for PayPal there, yet it is pretty quick to google.

Proton is Swiss based. And PayPal is one of the worst companies and suck at stuff like this.
