Hey All, I’m looking for an offline, privacy focused FOSS Android to‑do app that supports this recurrence: “Daily Task reminder for 15 days, repeat the task of 15 days yearly” I would like it to send a notifications for the task each day and have some sort of check box to mark task as complete for each day. I’ve tried these but they don’t seem to have this capability unless I’m missing something:
I could live without a check box but would need the notifications and would prefer an offline local solution so no account needed. If theirs a Foss offline calendar that can get me close to this functionality ill be open to trying it.
Yuu can make a Tuta account anonymously. Calendars inherently would require sync with the provider so offline is not really going to be an option here I feel.
I was hoping to avoid this setup because i need more then one of these reminders and it would make managing each task a nightmare when theirs like 60ish individual tasks to change if the date needed changes
I see. the way you phrased it in the original post, it sounded like you only had one task per day. You can bulk change the date/time for tasks in the Tasks app by holding down on a task, clicking the other tasks, and then clicking the clock icon at the top, which would make moving them a bit easier
Maybe you can try Obsidian Notes? It’s a notetaking app but it’s very extensible via plugins. It’s offline and local. You would have to manually try it on your own though, as idk which plugins suit your needs. They might not be able to do notifications, idk. I’ve never seen an Obsidian plugin use notifications. But maybe I’m wrong, I haven’t used obsidian in a while and I’m not an avid plugins user.
