The content on the Knowledge Base about Account Deletion, specifically regarding GDPR, is incorrect (here: Account Deletion - Privacy Guides).
It states that only EEA citizens have GDPR-related rights, which is not the case. According to Article 3(1) GDPR, the regulation ‘applies to the processing of personal data in the context of the activities of an establishment of a controller or a processor in the Union, regardless of whether the processing takes place in the Union or not.’
This means that even if you’re not an EU resident, GDPR still applies to you as long as the processing entity (either the processor or controller) is based in the EU. Therefore, the section needs to be amended.
I’d be happy to amend this myself, but I don’t know how. If anyone could offer guidance on how to make these changes, it’d be awesome!
