A new suggestion regarding cryptocurrencies

Cryptocurrencies are becoming more & more integral part of the internet and our lives.

I wish you create a comprehensive list for most secure hot and cold wallets + how to store essential data related to these wallets both offline or online (using clouds or password managers)…

The current list of wallets is overwhelming.

Agreed. Part of the problem is that PrivacyGuides is recommending Monero because it is a private currency but most of the financial world is not private right now anyway (banks, credit cards, brokerages, etc.) So while Monero makes sense from a privacy standpoint for transactions, it doesn’t replace all these other things, especially that Defi is supposed to replace. Additionally people are going to want exposure to the crypto space from an investment standpoint and there are better and worse ways to do it.

So I see there being a lot of value if PG can pull it off. However, the space is moving so fast and there is constantly changing information where previously trusted options become untrustworthy overnight, etc. it might be hard for PG to maintain.

Re: Wallets

An offline only paper wallet may not be terrible. At least, it doesn’t feel different than physical money.

When I was researching for devices recently I started my search with devices supported by feather. I did this because feather is recommended by PG.

The supported devices page has a Secure Element column which was also a feature I was interested in.

Other cryptocurrencies are less private than the rest of the financial world (banks, credit cards, brokerages, etc.).

They can be, or they can not be. There are so many factors that go into it.
