I put I use both but, tbh, I have not actually purchased anything with Monero yet. I did set up an account with Kraken (wasn’t not a huge fan of getting signed up for this) and purchased some via fiat and then transferred it to a Feather Wallet but, have not actually used it yet.

If there were more services that took Monero I would have used it already but I end up needing to use privacy.com in a lot of places I’d prefer to use Monero.

Kraken will delist Monero soon, better buy some more if you plan to use it.

Oh shit really? Is there an official announcement?

I use all the above really. I prefer to use cash and monero, obviously. The Monerica website has a good extensive list of all sorts of services and goods you can buy with XMR. So I always check them out first just to see if I can get what I’m looking for with monero. But I still use debit and cashapp for somethings too.

Correct me if I am wrong but, I live in the US and it sounds like it would still be available to purchase via Kraken there.

If you’re from US. then yes. Unless US will soon follow EU on this.

Yeah, thats for sure a concern. Any exchanges you reccommend switching too? KYC for exchanges is not a concern for my threat model, and from reading what PG says about P2P exchanges Kraken just seemed reliable and a bit more newbie friendly. I would most likely be doing fiat to Monero rather than another crypto to monero.

All CEXs are very similar.

Haveno is the way, there is already a small network available for it, but no official one yet.

I mainly use my debit card and iDeal (for online transactions), but I also use cash occasionally. I always have some cash in my wallet.

I use cash and debit/credit, but that isn’t an option :frowning:

I use both (cash & credit card) but never used cryptocurrencies in my life even though I have a Monero wallet.

Hmmmm, what services do you use, if you don’t mind disclosing?

Never bothered to get into cryptocurrencies. Most of my day-to-day purchases are with my debit/credit cards. I do usually keep about $100 in cash on me for emergency sake. Although earlier this year I traveled to Belgium and noticed cash was very prevalent there. I’d say 3 out of 4 of my transactions in Belgium were with cash, but back home in the US I’d say 1 out of every 25 of my transactions are with cash.

If I’m making a purchase which I know I want to be more private, I will purchase a gift card in cash and use that to carry out the transaction. Yes, you have to register the card, but there is no ID verification with the gift card.

Kraken to delist Monero in European Economic

Can still buy it in U.S etc.
