Has anyone here used the program winhance? It seems like it does a good job to debloat windows and preinstalled apps
There are many tools on Github for Windows debloating and to make it a lot more privacy respecting.
I have used this in the past to debloat and also removed Edge which has since stayed removed too:
Oh very cool!
This is another popular tool that works well. Recently updated too:
I never tried winhance, but did tried many different ones. I’d recommend using privacy.sexy, but really taking the time to go through all options and understanding what they do (it will take you about 2 hours).

So it seems like the internet is very split on using scripts to harden or make windows more private. I don’t know what to do! I like the idea of christ titus tool but it seems it can really mess with you system in a bad way. Same with Winhance if your not careful. I just am looking for a home desktop solution for better security and privacy with windows.
These are legitimate tools. Yes, you should always be careful when using them to not do anything that you cannot undo. But it’s not too difficult to ensure. Only touch features and functionality of these tools you understand and do what you think you need.
But any script has the potential to damage your system so that really shouldn’t be a deciding factor.
And the tool I used, I did it once and never had to use it again. It works well!
Thank you for the response. With using the Chis tool did you think I would be okay with just using the standard tweak option?
I recommend first determining what you need to or want to tweak. Make a list. And then go about doing them. Set options are okay but if you want flexibility, I would do it individually to have control over what you’re changing.
That makes sense. Thank you!
Privacy.sexy is open source and you can actually see what each script does. I’d recommend that one instead.
I’ll cross-post here:
