Yes I know you can turn on mobile hotspot and go in network settings and share the vpn tap adapter with hotspot. but I would rather not mess with that and just have a convenient button. other than windscribe, is there any other vpn provider that has a button in their windows app for vpn hotspot?
As far as I can see, Windscribe appears to be the only mainstream VPN to have the convenient built-in button in their Windows app.
There are 3rd party software like Connectify Hotspot which works with any VPN, but they’re not open source. Although they claim in their privacy policy that there’s no logging of browsing activity nor selling of data, they collect device and usage metadata like device tracking for “anti-piracy purposes”, location tracking for “special offers”, and uses Google Analytics.
Also, they collect extensive contact information if you buy from their store/site.
So if it’s a necessary feature, I’d stick with Windscribe, as they’re reasonably private and inexpensive to begin with.
thank you. I already have windscribe, wanted a second one if possible. wow connectify is crazy. if I am downloading ms office how is that any of their business lol. not that i am downloading, just a philosophical question.
