objective is to have vpn secured mobile hotspot in windows 10, and connect google onn to that hotspot to watch tv. I know about the whole share mobile hotspot ICS in windows. these instructions exist on many websites. but I noticed other than windscribe, no other vpn provider has mobile hotspot feature in their official app. is there a reason why? since this method doesn’t seem endorsed by the vpn makers and it’s more of a windows hack, I am concerned about leaks. if I hotspot and have the most extreme kill switch (no internet in laptop unless it’s connected to vpn - I believe it’s called lockdown mode in mullvad and always on+ in windscribe), is that hotspot also protected by this kill switch?
another question is, when I was reading instruction on how to hotspot vpn, someone wrote “make sure your provider allows this” how can they disallow this if it’s a windows feature? they have no control over what I hotspot, do they? I am considering mullvad and protonvpn for hotspot. do they allow it?
