I’ve set-up Floccus yesterday to sync my bookmarks to my nextcloud, and I can access my bookmarks on my android phone since my phone browser doesn’t have the same bookmarks as my PC browser.
Raindrop does look pretty neat. I like that you can create permanent copies of your bookmarks, but without E2EE, I can’t see myself using it. I found out about Floccus after seeing a post on here about Raindrop alternatives.
I never said there was no content filtering. However, I said its content filtering wasn’t good. It only use 2 lists: EasyPrivacy and EasyList. That mean you will miss out on plenty of trackers. I could find no info about the content blocking GOS uses, but it probably lacks some feature of Brave or uBo.
Also, it doesn’t even randomize canvas. At least I believe so. Can someone tell me if their canvas on Vanadium also starts with B670 and ends with E0AB35E. If yes, then it would be global and what I said below would be wrong.
You can test at Canvas Fingerprinting - BrowserLeaks. I tested and noted my fingerprinting signature. I then deleted all tabs, deleted all browsing data, and even deleted all Vanadium data from the settings. I then opened Vanadium and did the test again. Same fingerprinting. All

But also:
The method Vanadium (and Trivalent) uses to implement adblocking by preprocessing filter rules at build time mitigates this risk significantly: Subresource Filter
Why don’t you start by learning some fingerprinting basics, like what contributes to a canvas fingerprint before talking nonsense like “they solved canva fingerprinting”.
If everyone gets the same fingeprinting, it is solved.
I try to be honest, I was concerned with it. IronFox for example has a new canva FP on every page refresh which inspires confidence.
Just to be clear: I wasn’t trying to be aggressive before. But I find it annoying when claims are made here with affirmative one liners. Back-up claims with proofs, or this is just a “trust me bro” situation.
Okay I see.
The thread didn’t really talk about DNR. DNR or Declarative Net Request is what MV3 extensions use to declare what to block.
