Been a while since so I have a few long ones this week for the podcast for you to answer and address:
Question: Please share what’s in store for us now that you have a new creator for Privacy Guides. Also, does this mean we have Jordan in addition to this new person as content creators for PG or is this creator replacing Jordan? (hope its not the latter).
Comment/Plea: Please make a case for people using Windows on their PC that they really ought to reconsider their choice of OS now that Windows is full fledged in the process evolving into an agentic OS and that it is no longer what it once was when people chose to use Windows. Reiterate in they don’t have to live with a disrespecting and an abusive OS from all fronts and that if Linux is too “hard”, they have macOS to use as well. And that they can always run Windows in a VM on either OS to use the select apps they sometimes may still want to or have to.
Suggestion: I think Privacy Guides really needs an article about gaming on Linux (and showing how to replace your “office” work for which Office apps are needed with alternatives that work just as well) that really acts as a guide on replacing Windows with it if gaming is the one of two reasons folks still prefer to use Windows. In other words, a couple more written pieces or even an accompanying video on showing the lack of reasons to keep using Windows for at-least your personal computing needs (even if people may need to use it for work which you can’t do anything about). I think people still don’t know how to do this and a conclusive guide on this in a EL15 style would help a lot! Please seriously consider this.
Suggestion: while I don’t want to curtail the natural discussion the podcast has, I want to reiterate what I once said about keeping the episodes/discussions tight such that they are not too long. Some prep work for this in advance discussing some bullet points you must have noted in advance to discuss the topic would help with not meandering too much with filler words or sentences and what have you. In other words, being mindful of the time each topic is receiving would yield a better podcast episode that’s always on track better. This could also potentially help you with creating chapters in the video easier.
Suggestion: I also want to reiterate that I wish you post all the discussion topic atleast a few hours in advance so we can ask direct questions about what’s already going to be discussed. I (and I’m sure others too) can’t ask questions during the podcast because it happens in the middle of the night for me. I know we can ask any question but this notwithstanding, knowing the topics in advance still helps. I only repeat this again because I still feel this way.
Question: Is Privacy Guides now going to be more consistent with their content release (schedule) now that you have another person?
Question: Will (paying) members ever get to see a sneak peak/preview of the topics being worked on by Privacy Guides staff? It would be nice to have perk.
Comment: I do recognize the improvements with the podcasts that have been made and many of the suggestions and advice from several months ago have already been ensured. So, please don’t think I only continue to have grievances. I see the good hard work too!

Sorry, it’s a lot I know but only cause I care. Thank you for covering the weekly topics well and answering our privacy questions. Looking forward to the podcast as always!
the person will be additive, taking care of socials + doing video content as mentioned in the job position post
2 + 3. do agree it would be cool, even tho not sure if it is specifically a PG kind of thing or if people here have the specific knowledge here (that couldn’t be found on some Linux enthusiast website already )
I guess that a podcast is more chill than a video but some editing could be done to cut some “slower paced parts”, not a deal breaker but could definitely raise the quality yes
I feedback’ed that one recently yes, EU is unfortunately not in the lucky timezone haha. But maybe an alternative could be to maybe make a “cut” at Wednesday with a list of topics? So that way people have 48h to potentially throw their ideas/comments ahead of time. It means that news from Thursday/Friday itself would be discarded until next week tho, but that’s not an uncommon practice and a balance between bleeding-edge news + properly setup notes.
6 + 7. We’ll know more very soon: early 2026 I guess.
