Please be aware that by posting here your post will be displayed on the YouTube stream.
Question/Request: Considering you’re talking about a new feature, it would behoove to at least one of the presenters having tried the GrapheneOS desktop mode to then talk about how, what, pros, cons, etc. of this feature. There hasn’t been a review of it anywhere about this niche feature which is only going to be popular among privacy enthusiasts. So, I hope someone tries it before talking about it so we can better understand how well it works and its limitations.
Question: You had mentioned last week that a video or two would be releasing early this week. ETA on that?
Suggestion: please have a new section each week to cover new app updates, app releases, things to know about new products in the privacy & security world. For example: Kagi releasing their Orion Browser (now fully stable 1.0), general reminders to update all your apps, checking out a new major update/app upgrade, etc. I know some of these are sometimes already covered in the podcast so this can be a reminder at the end or something to bring it on top of people’s mind as they listen/finish the episode. In my experience, many people are lazy with updates so a reminder never hurts.

Thanks again! As always, I look forward to watching it in a couple days.
That would be bice, although I did try it briefly and reported my experience Here, I didnt test it in depth, so would I would also love to see a more in depth review.
Sorry to sour Thanksgiving weekend, but I got some urgent news.
We need to organize a call to action around a hearing that will happen on December 2nd in the US Energy & Commerce Committee.
In general the goal of this hearing is to start looking into all of the “protect the kids” legislation that has been proposed. This includes bills like the Kids’ Online Safety Act (KOSA) and the App Store Accountability Act, which I think is a federal version of the state laws in Texas, Utah, and Louisiana that requires age verification for using an app store.
The full list of proposals can be found in the link at the top.
This is the time to call your congressional representatives and tell them that you do not support these invasive laws! This is our Chat Control. Do not sleep on these proposal or else we’re going to be talking about them after they become law. The time to act is now.
Look up who you House rep is.
Call them.
Give them your name and your zip code and tell them you would like to leave a legislative opinion.
Share something along these lines: “I understand that on December 2nd there will be a hearing by the Energy and Commerce Committee around the safety of children online. While I care deeply that our kids be safe no matter where they are, I am opposed to these invasive and damaging proposals. Bills like KOSA will erode the right of all Americans, including children, to digital freedom. Bills like these bring us one step closer to the surveillance state of China and many times do not even accomplish their stated goal of keeping kids safe. I am asking my representative to oppose these bills as of today.”
Call your two senators and share the same.
If you have to leave a voicemail, that’s fine, those get counted too. Even emailing your elected representatives about this is good.
Sorry to add another call to action to the pile, but the deadline for public comments to push back against patent trolls in the US is also on December 2. Please look into what the US Patent Office is proposing and leave a public comment.
