Veracrypt on Fedora

What is the recommended package for using Veracrypt encrypted drives/containers on Fedora? The one from the website or Zulucrypt?

As recommended on PG, just use LUKS on linux. Its better supported.

My issue is that I need to decrypt Veracrypt containers that I have used on Windows (and still need to dual boot sometimes). So kinda stuck with VC.

You want the one from the website but I suggest you verify the signatures of the file hashes.

Do you know if Zulucrypt is a viable alternative? The one on the website was for Fedora 38 last time I checked.

You maybe want to use CryptSetup but it’s a bit mess to set up.

If I read this correctly Luks on Linux is as safe as Vera Crypt on Windows?
On my personal computer I use Vera Crypt for full system backup (and Ax Crypt for some more personal files, Cryptomator for cloud). I don’t know if BitLocker as well. However because win 11 is really becoming full with spyware and turn on stuff without me knowing I’m starting to thinking of switching to Linux. My basic concern is if my computer gets stolen I need to know that content is safe. And because I know that some criminals have even better equipment that police I’m a bit concern. The problem is that I still need some connection to MS tools for my work (eg, office, One Drive) … I’ll need them on Linux as well, which will be a hassle to workout.

Apple is probably the same.
