Qwen.ai on mullvad is broken, how to circumvent it

Greetings

After using Mullvad browser for a long time, i have come across a site that out right refuses to function on Mullvad even on standard settings (as a guest user, with no login, because “stayed logged out” button isn’t clickable ) Qwen.ai.

I do have an account but i don’t want to use it really.

But it works with Brave Browser with aggressive settings on.

I had an issue with tutamail but switching to “Standard” protection usually had solved all my problems except this recent one.

I can find the relevant warnings in console log, but disabling “privacy.firstparty.isolate” “privacy.resistFingerprinting” or allowing cookies from Padlock icon (on url) doesn’t do anything to fix the issue, i can’t pinpoint the exact cause.

Console log examples from Mullvad alpha:

Cookie “” has been rejected as third-party
A resource is blocked by OpaqueResponseBlocking
Loading failed for the <script> ... fourier.taobao.com/rp
Loading failed for the <script> ... g.alicdn.com/AWSC/et/.../et_f.js
XHRGET ... /api/v1/auths/ [401 Unauthorized]
WebGL context was lost
Blocked ... from extracting canvas data because no user input was detected
An AudioContext was prevented from starting automatically

Has anybody seen any similar websites and bypass methods except switching browsers?

Thanks for all of your helps

You can circumvent the website by self-hosting the LLM instead, specifically Qwen 3.6.

I actually can’t on this old laptop

changed servers?

If you are refering to the Mullvad VPN server, i use other VPNs with better censorship circumvention capabilities that are better suited for my country.

Qwen does work with the same IP that i have, but just in a different browser like Brave, but i like the idea of blending in with other Mullvad users, that’s why i try to avoid using other browsers

It would probably be best to report it at Issues · mullvad/mullvad-browser · GitHub

turned out it was present even in vanilla Firefox, the problem was private mode(which is enabled by default on Mullvad) about some weird storage permission, chatbots say its MY problem but i didn’t test it further just for one website
