One of the Best Password Managers Wants to Be Your 'Everything Manager'

It seems to be a good idea not to keep all your eggs in one basket, but will convenience of a one stop shop be a selling point for many?

Digital ID, passports, and club member cards are more and more common among the people of today and this seems like a solid option to hold that information.

But I also wonder is proton spreading too thin, is this going to further escalate a vendor lock (as some have stated previously with their expansions). I am really curious on how people here view this.

I have some reservations of using this for all important information as seen in the article, but also think it can assist those who don’t have a high threat model that want an all inclusive package.

I’m not entirely opposed to this as long as there is a passkey or MFA element when logging in.

If done properly, there is not much of a difference between a password manager hosting passwords to a website with your passport number (i.e. your airline) and the number pasted there in plain text.

However, I’m more worried about normalizing this behavior to people who do not have MFA enabled.
