Logseq

Website

Short description

Logseq is an open-source note-taking programme that makes it easy to manage and link large amounts of information.

Why I think this tool should be added

Logseq meets all criteria in comparison to Obsidian.

  • Open source
  • Sync service (beta) is encrypted
  • Standard formats are supported
  • It supports multiple platforms (Linux, Windows, macOS, Android and iOS).

Hi, have you read other topics on Logseq before proposing this as a tool?
I feel like we do have plenty of threads on that one already. :hugs:

No. This is the first explicit suggestion.

The only other time it was submitted was as part of a bulk suggestion: Local Knowledgebase Tools (Obsidian, Logseq, Trilium) There’s precedent for bulk suggestions being invalid

I have not gotten through all of the posts there but my point still stands: are the concerns/discussions there indicate that Logseq could nowadays be added? (doesn’t matter if they were raised in bulk or not in itself)
Or will it face the same blockers as stated in other threads?

Whether there are concerns or not, further discussions should now thankfully be centralized here.

There is no coherent discussion about Logseq. It ticks all the boxes, so there is no reason to not include it. If there are any, then feel free to discuss it here.

At some point they removed local encryption (sorry, I don’t have time to find the git change for you). At that point logseq became pointless to me so I just moved back to obsidian.

This is not a criteria by PG and you should have encryption on on your loc device anyways.
