is duckduckgo browser a good browser for privacy?

i have been making attempts in fits and starts to make more private my digital ecosystem and footprint, and i’ve been using the duckduckgo browser for awhile. i like it, it’s pretty straightforward. mind you that’s not the only privacy step i take.

but is it a good browser for privacy? i use the ios app and it is pretty great imo. but i rarely see it recommended for privacy browsers. however i understand at some level every browser on ios is really just a wrapper over webkit. any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The browser is FOSS: GitHub - duckduckgo/Android: DuckDuckGo Android App

But I guess that it doesn’t have a specific edge over other ones?
Having 60 browsers doesn’t add much benefit over having 5 good ones that are well-vetted.

Not sure if it is specifically better on a few topics over PG-recommended browsers but I guess it’s just average at best.

I prefer to use DDG as a search engine directly in Firefox (desktop) or Vanadium/IronFox (Android).
