IRC channels to discuss degoogling

Hi gang,

I’m looking for IRC channels to discuss degoogling strategies in realtime with other likeminded folk.

I know that there is no expectation of privacy on IRC and you are not anonymous to the operators of the server, but still, the speed, simplicity, and enshittification resistance seem like good reasons to stick with it.

So, any good places to chat?

(My real X Y question ( XY problem - Wikipedia ) is I’m trying to replace google calendar / tasks, and Tuta is not cutting it, so I’m curious to chat about this and other topics. I’ll look on the forum for calendar recommendations as well.)

I don’t know of any, and I’m a bit skeptical there are any. IRC doesn’t seem like the place most “degooglers” would be ; I’d imagine them to be largely non-technical and new to protecting their privacy (which may not even be the motivation for some).

Do you mind sharing what about Tuta didn’t meet your needs? I haven’t used it, but I’m curious.

So far, it doesn’t support time zone or tasks. Not sure what else it doesn’t do, but that’s what I’ve noticed so far.
