Basically, the title question.
I usually add channels I want to keep track of on my RSS reader of choice but I am no longer able to do it. Anyone else experiencing this?
For example: I was trying to subscribe to Hank Green but the reader just won’t add. Gives me an error. Same with other channels I tried.
Is YouTube cracking down on YouTube via RSS? If anyone can test and try this and get back with your experience, I’d really appreciate it. I don’t know if I am the only one.

Haven’t had any issues so far. Previously, there was one YouTube channel I couldn’t add to my RSS feed for some reason, but it was resolved on its own when I tried to add it again a few months later.
It sounds like the same issue based on your description. If it’s just one channel, maybe use FreeTube (or iOS / Android equivalent) for now and subscribe there.
FWIW, I just tried adding the RSS feed for an arbitrary YouTube channel to my RSS reader and it worked.
False alarm, I guess.
It wasn’t working all morning and afternoon for me but it appears to be working now. I should have waited longer to post/ask for help.

Is it maybe about YT doing “are you a bot? please sign in” kind of checks as of lately? 
Depends on your VPN connection/IP/browser or cookie settings etc. Connecting to North America resolves the issues. EU still gives me issues.
With Mullvad VPN, I can only connect to Albania to resolve this issue. It’s the only one that works for me as far as I know.
