How do you protect your real-name email address?

Using aliases from SimpleLogin (or other services like that) is very useful for one-time purchases, newsletters, etc. but how do you deal with situations where it feels like you should use firstname.lastname@domain.com ?

For example, when looking for work, it’s advisable (at least where I live) to use such email. But you have to provide this email address all over the Internet, sometimes registering to a given company’s custom recruitment portal. How do you deal with potential leaks or spam in such situations? This is an email address that you cannot easily disable or change. I wonder what strategy would be best to use here.

Even if you don’t provide such address anywhere, it’s easy to guess if someone knows you own domain.com

Banks are different, they don’t care that your email is random words. Employers may care though.

This right here. I use a Duck-alias for my bank, but I use an Outlook mail for work applications, etc.

It depends. Even websites such eBay or DeepL suspend account created with SimpleLogin. What if your bank does the same?

I have a proton address just for banking and another one just for job applications. Since unlimited allows you to have up to fifteen emails, and my account isn’t anonymized beyond a privacy card that has KYC.
