GrapheneOS users have received the long-awaited QPR1 update in GrapheneOS.

I have to say that their UI design guidelines are also amazing!
Feels very playful and nice to use, quite a huge (positive) difference VS iOS. ![]()
Being all subtle and faded away was never a sexy design IMO.
I wonder if Apple will take note to provide iPadOS experience via your iPhone on your desktop monitor going forward. They are powerful enough to do that as its the same chipset so there should not be anything stopping them. They are also as pricey if not more than some laptops now so it also feels like a natural evolution.
But highly functional, which is more than enough for the digital minimalists that are mostly and likely using their Pixels with GOS.
Feels like canibalism between each product or just something too un-Apple-y.
Even having the iPad behave like a MacBook is already something that Apple has a hard time accepting… ![]()
Oh very much yes. Being on GOS and having that update is just a TREAT, very happy about it too! ![]()
Would love to see a video on how well the desktop mode works, looks, etc. Someone should make it.
Already available for regular Androids by looking for the QPR1 reviews.
But maybe Side of burritos is editing one as we speak for GOS. ![]()
I really really hope so, I’ve used my iPad as a little mini laptop for a while now and it’s honestly great. If I could just plug my phone into a monitor and now its a desktop I would make a lot of use of that.
YES! He makes great content to the point and often covers GOS. I really hope he has something for this coming up.
Another cool thing if Apple wants to keep remining cool (as they are losing it) is to provide the ability to connect any iPhone to their Mac and have iPadOS appear, that would be fantastic.
So many great apps can then be used on Macs that are only made and optimized for iPad - imagine watching 4K content from your favorite streaming on your computer even though they don’t support it natively on browsers on desktop Mac. The possibilities will be endless and very interesting.
Just make all tech work no matter how and what the use case may be - people will find a reason to use it.
(but enough Apple talk, I’m going off topic)
