Man this was the best reply. I think you’re right. I voluntarily have imposed some rules on myself and yes while these keep me private but the fun I had to be on bleeding edge of everything was lost and I was kinda paranoid of all the stuff.
But reply from others and especially you have made me realised that moderation and balance is the key!

Leaving Twitter helped me greatly on that topic, not as much FOMO since then.
Maybe why I decided to switch to GrapheneOS since then, got bored with new (enshittified) software and wanted to keep it simple. 
A lot of people don’t even have access to safe drinking water. No, I don’t feel fear of missing some of the new technologies. This is a very niche feeling.
Not gonna lie, at this point my FOMO is more about the lifestyle of Ted Kaczynski
