I’m a MacOS user who recently switched to Graphene. Are there any cross-platform apps that I can use to sync music libary across devices? I don’t want a streaming service. Like iTunes used to do in the olden days, I want to be able to put music in a library on my laptop and then just plug in my phone have it sync. Initially, I thought VLC would work, but I don’t see a syncing option.
My setup is:
Mac:
Nicotine for sourcing music–> /inbox–> lrcget at /inbox to download lyrics–> Mp3Tag at /inbox to fix tags and embed lyrics and fix names–> sort into folders as shown below–> Syncthing one way sync to Android.
I prefer to listen on the android because I can get hi-res direct audio path and EQ and the UI for Poweramp is insanely good. I used to use Doppler on the Mac if I wanted to listen, but now I use IINA, because my library is well-sorted and I don’t do serious listening on the Mac.
Android:
Syncthing receive only from Mac into music folder–> point Poweramp at folder.
Some examples of the organization:
/music/T/Tame Impala/(2020) The Slow Rush/01 - One More Year.flac
/music/A/A Tribe Called Quest/(1993) Midnight Marauders/01 - Midnight Marauders Tour Guide.flac
Pretty sure my setup would work on Windows because all the workflows are cross platform. I am happy to answer any questions.
