Can I use rclone instead of cryptomator?

Hey,
I saw the recommendations for cryptomator.
In terms of encryption only, can I replace it with rclone?
I am already familiar with rclone, so the learning curve is not an issue.

Use whatever you’re comfortable using when encrypting your files and data. But if you’re asking to determine the quality difference of the encryption, I do not have an objective conclusive answer for you but seeing that both are reputable, I’d go with either. Albeit, I personally like GUI so it is always Cryptomator for me.

Yes, I am asking in terms of the quality difference of the encryption.
I used rclone a lot, but I assume that Cryptomator as GUI app will be easy, so I am trying to find my best option for the most improtant faeture for me, encryption.
