Let’s say you’re covered on the purchasing side of things, with prepaid cards or crypto or whatever.
What about getting the product delivered to you? I read that you can rent a postbox, but I’m not really sure what the options are (EU especially) besides an Amazon locker which I’m is limited to just Amazon purchases.
Do all of these options merely allow you to hide your home address to the party who you are buying off? I.e., you must still use your real name so that it is delivered to your box/locker. And, I presume the company who provides the postbox/locker service will almost certainly require your real name and ID verification to deter the buying of illicit goods?
What are your thoughts and experiences with this? I’m not sure if it’s worth it - especially if I can’t buy those missing screws for my 1981 oven without the Slovakian seller seeing my real name upon purchase, let alone anonymously buy that ps2 game I’ve always wanted which is somehow banned in my country.
(P.S. Why can’t I just fix my oven and play my PS2 without every damn person in the world watching me??)
It depends on where you live in the EU. In my country there is a company that offers anonymously delivery addresses. The company is unique, as far i know in my country
You buy a key for 5 € with which you generate a fictional name on its side and select any pick -up station of the company.
Your ordered goods will be delivered there. Completely anonymous and keys can be bought normally with a card or with cash or crypto.
Another option for me is to reserve or buy the articles online and then pick it up on site. Doesn’t work for your order, but there are enough shops that offer this.
Any idea how I can find these anonymous delivery address companies within my country? Initially I looked up post boxes and got a bunch of physical boxes you install in your home … I’ve tried a few more search terms with not much luck. Not sure what else to try.
And I wonder what international companies there are. Maybe Amazon, DHL, Fedex, UPS. All require ID… I think?
Assuming that what you are buying is light, I would consider using a trusted friend who lives nearby or at least in the same city. I would use a fake name, (e.g. Jordan Smith), and I have the item delivered to my friend’s address under that name. My friend would of course know that I used a fake name, and will understand that any mail that arrives for Jordan Smith is for me.
