I’ve heard of Anon shop but I’ve never used it. Any other options for something like this? I do not want to give my address to these companies.
Edit: for clarification; the reason I’m asking this is because I’m being auto-banned from a couple of websites that I’m interested in purchasing from, like Ebay and Etsy for example without any (obvious) reason. Getting in touch with these companies is also quite difficult and I was wondering if I could skip the hassle and get some needed privacy too alongside it.
I have my Amazon purchases sent to a post office. This does require Amazon to know my real name but its very common.
I used to get my deliveries sent to a locker but last time the Amazon app wouldn’t open the locker.
I pay with a gift card. I never gave Amazon my address, phone number, credit card.
I use an alias email and a “nickname”. My mails all get delivered, they don’t need your real name. This doesn’t solve the credit card dilemma, you will need to give some information but hopefully they don’t have access to it.
I’ve previously been banned from Amazon (for too many returns in too short of a time period and it took around a year to remedy, seemingly because of the address, time of account creation, or maybe IP.
What I’ve done now is use a fake name, a privacy.com card with that name, a VoIP number (you can only add a VoIP number when placing an order, if you try to do it during account creation it wouldn’t accept it for me. And they do eventually try demanding a number) and a vpn.
If you’re being consecutively banned you may need to wait for a period of time for them to stop looking closely at your account and PII flags. For me it took five failed accounts and a year of waiting. For you it may be different.
I was banned from all three in a matter of a couple of weeks. Yeah I need to take time off before I try with them again, but was hoping to see services which could simply buy them on my behalf (they can put my shipping address in there no problem)
