BBC is going full-on censorship mode again.

Probably because Trump threatened to sue after their blunder with his Jan 6 speech.

So i guess they still don’t understand what they did wrong by cutting selectively in material.

My gut feeling is they’re trying to be careful about how they cover Trump, even if that means censoring another person.

The article says they did it after talking to US lawyers, the higher ups at the BBC, and was after the BBC was asked about its impartiality by MPs. Unless they explicitly say what legal advice they were told (which might not happen unless they’re taken to court), this is another massive hit to their “impartial” stance.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t

Editing video isn’t their only trick, they also appear to hire some very dodgy translators especially when translating Russian and Palestinian Arabic into English. They have been called out several times but it’s only when they do it to Trump does the proverbial sh1t hit the fan.

All news is propaganda to some degree and I’ve never heard of a completely unbiased news source. BBC has a long list of biases (some are outlined on Wikipedia) and it’s all a matter of whether you enjoy reading their brand of British propaganda. Of course here they have to self-censor as Trump was already threatening to sue.
