Are There Fully Anonymous Emails?

I don’t like tuta or proton and similar services that force me to “verify” im human.

I used cock.li before but its temporairly down now. What are some other mail providers that let me make an account fully anonymously?

I don’t quite get what issues you have with Tuta and Proton, do you mean Captcha, or do you mean you need to fill (i.e. forge) personal details during registration process?

AFAIK they don’t require KYC so it should not be an issue?

proton wants me to “verify” by doxxing my other emails to them. i cant pay with monero either.

tuta as you said asks for additional stuff and locks my account for 48hr after creation

I am not using Tuta so cant say anything about that.

For Proton, is it related to account recovery? You can simply ignore those “recommendations.” For subscriptions, see if you would like to purchase giftcards and redeem it for your account, or pay by cash.

If you still want to try other mail providers, then please check Here

Im talking about registering a new free account on their site. They will stop me to verify im human by providing them with another email. You can try it yourself as it takes a few seconds to do. The PG recommandations arent suitable for me, as i want something anonymous, similar to cock.li or onionmail.org. The later deletes inactive accounts in 3 months so its not very good for me.

If by fully anonymous you mean will let you just create an account from any IP adress including ones with bad reputation, I don’t think there is any. This is because it would be misused and the mail provider reputation would get downgraded, leading to blocks.

You could always open an account using public wifi. Purchasing a sms code with smspool.net could also be feasible.

Even Proton says that email can be anything. Just get a temporary email from some other services, which are deleted after 10-15 mins and then create your account. It is made against bot spam.

You can use TOR when creating Proton account.

I cant use any VPN without being blocked. A privacy respecting email expects me to give them my real IP?

They block temp-mail.

Try https://muellmail.com/. Just created a new Proton account with that service

First of all

“We don’t save CAPTCHA results. If you are presented with email or SMS verification, we only save a cryptographic hash of your email or phone number which is not permanently associated with the account that you create. Because hash functions are one-way functions, it is impossible to derive your phone number or email from that hash. However, using the same phone number will result in obtaining the same cryptographic hash. So by comparing hashes, we can detect if phone numbers or email addresses are reused for human verification.”

No legitimate email company is going to stop using detection methods to prevent signup abuse unless they are primarily ran by a single gung ho privacy entity. Which you should not trust that single entity with your data.

disroot, riseup (needs invite)

Im not a fan of political clubs.

Yeah i don’t want them to even do that to my “verification” emails. I don’t want them to store it hashed or plaintext. But this is pointless to argue about since now i have been given a tempmail provider that they accept for verification.

if you’re willing to go the self-hosting route, check out this tutorial i wrote http://blog.nowherejezfoltodf4jiyl6r56jnzintap5vyjlia7fkirfsnfizflqd.onion/opsec/mailprivate/index.html

the annoying part about email is the clearnet dependency, but having your own email server, while maintaining anonymity is still possible. Just need a bit of port-forwarding kung fu

As long as you use email providers, you can’t be fully anonymous. Proton logs your IP address, and they even have disclosed that in a criminal case.

That doesn’t mean its not anonymous. Its easily spoofed.

Here’s a list with anonymous + free + standard-following email providers: List of anonymous and free email providers with IMAP - Techlore Discussions

Also, cock.li is working well if you already have it set up, it’s just that the account management (creation, pw change, deletion) is down.
