I’m still using the mybackup app from Rerware, but it hasn’t been updated for a long while.

I’m looking for a private android app that backups automatically SMS/MMS (I know it’s not secure) and contacts info. A bonus would be Android settings, but not mandatory.

Those backups could be generated locally and I could create a Macro with Macrodroid for instance.

For SMS/MMS and contacts backup, there’s GitHub - tmo1/sms-ie: SMS Import / Export is a simple Android app that imports and exports SMS and MMS messages, call logs, and contacts from and to JSON / NDJSON files.. It has an option for scheduled export.

I just realized I can do it all within MacroDroid.
