Add Mwmbl (Search Engine)

Website

Short description

How Mwmbl describes himself: The free, open-source and non-profit search engine.

Why I think this tool should be added

It fits perfect and very clear in the requirements for search engines and fulfills even 100 % of the “Best-Case”-Criteria.

It is the only search engine, that’s completely open-source, actively developed, has an independent index and does not collect PII (Personally Identifiable Information) by default, as far as I know.

Could you please subsumise how exactly your proposal fulfills criteria for me an the others who have not heared of it yet

They have a very tiny index.

But thanks for the info!

I equate this to Kiwi more than an actual search engine, if Kiwi were online only seeing how limited of an index it has.

I understand. But can we then add a search engine criteria that says „must include at least [Number] indexed websites“ to prevent further search engine suggestions of my kind?

Why it asks for login?

If you are logged in, you can improve Mwmbl by curating and/or adding WebSite search results. And Mwmbl’s Developer want that you improve it (⌒‿⌒)

That is great, currently how many users using this engine?

Doesn’t work on Firefox, a blue page greet me and says " We’re sorry, but something went wrong."

Here are some Stats:

There are 2,383,312,400 indexed pages, if i understand the stats right.

Is there any kind of webmaster tool for this engine, to monitor traffic coming from this engine to a website, like google search console, analytics, etc?

It still doesn’t work for me today though.

I‘m confused, I tried it yesterday and today and the days before, and for me, it works fine.

Maybe it‘s a problem with you browser or something else?

I tried with 3 different browsers and it didn’t work.

Just now, it does. But anyway a search engine that doesn’t work everywhere all the time (or almost) just isn’t good enough for me to use, let alone recommend to others.
