Most people that use Mullvad Browser with a VPN is probably using MullvadVPN so the crowd would be big with the same IP’s and same fingerprint. Using IVPN with Mullvad Browser but I think I should switch because if it and I found a post by them.
My opinion is that if you use Mullvad Browser you are most likely best off using:
- Mullvad VPN
- If not Mullvad, then whatever VPN feels most popular with privacy advocates and the core of the privacy community at the current moment.
(since these are the groups of people most likely to be using Mullvad Browser)
To answer your title question - yes. But of course, it is not a requirement. You can use Mullvad browser as you want.
Since you are already paying for a dedicated VPN (as opposed to having Proton VPN included with an Unlimited subscription for example) I might consider switching to Mullvad VPN. Just be aware of the differences in number of clients per subscription, etc.
Of course you can still use Mullvad Browser without Mullvad VPN, but as everyone is saying, having a Mullvad IP is a fairly important part of blending into the crowd.
