A guy that created his account 30 minutes ago just DMed me to go kill myself.
It makes zero sense to let completely new users DM other forum members, please change that.

was it @Everythingisascam ? The guy just went mental on me. Apparently thumbs downing his post, which was basically puking FUD was to much for them.

I dont think there is a global setting to change this.
You can however change who can message you in your profile settings if you like. Otherwise just report and we take care of it.
And i am sorry this happend to you. Lately we had to ban quite a few accounts in the same day they joined the forum.

Some old school forum have “ranking” system, members in lowest rank (e.g. made less than x nos. of comment) can’t DM other user.
Not sure if it can be done here. But reporting system seems working fine for now.
