Which paid Email provider do you use?

Skiff Mail on Android is the worse. Even their mails are having their black logo on dark theme background. I am wondering why they don’t just wrap the PWA version instead.

Proton Unlimited for me, started out with Mail Plus.
Since I do almost everything on and over my mobile device it was important to have a clean android app.
Proton ✓
Later on, more research, I decided to add a VPN so I just upgraded.
Skiff I didn’t like the android app.
Tuta no way to import from an old account.
Posteo would have me using K9 or Free mail client. Would have been an idea, but I was basically sold on the clean android app that proton offers.
I dislike the advertising model as well. Especially needing to cancel one day prior end of subscription. There is no way to do it advance. So I have to give it a thought in advance and plan ahead.

But that is life, one death you have to die.

At least I have 10000000 calendars I don’t need to do so now

Hmmm yeah I’ve noticed quite a few emails in Skiff that have white text on white background, for example.

Hopefully they can sort things out. Maybe even release a VPN service? I want a VPN/email combo but I don’t want to pay Proton’s ridiculous prices for it.

This is factually wrong. Switzerland is not part of the EU but they are part of the EEA. Besides that Switzerland does have good privacy laws unlike the US.

Hi, to be fully precise, Swiss are not part of EEA:
" One EFTA member, Switzerland, has not joined the EEA, but has a set of [bilateral sectoral agreements with the EU which allow it to participate in the internal market." [1]

Haven’t experienced that at all actually, nor any slowness with the Android app. I think they just need to focus more on Android testing to get it working consistently across different devices.

???

This issue is well known and Skiff team is fixing it, see here.

Yes, but it isn’t a bug experienced by all users. I believe it is device specific or occurs only under some conditions. Regardless it needs to be fixed, but I was just putting the information out there.

It is my impression that Skiff focuses on iOS/MacOS with it’s applications, and likely has less devices/testing done for Android devices. In the future I hope they’ll be more thorough for both versions of the apps.

I have been using Tuta Premium (€12/year) for a few years. Seeing their’s and Proton’s pace of development, I accepted it as the norm. However, the rate at which Skiff’s adding features is just mind-boggling.

Their free plans are a no-brainer at this time and I have been recommending Skiff often. I really wish they make an actual desktop app and maybe allow 2 custom domains in essential plan to one-up others when it comes to paid plans also.
