Wanted to make a signal account without using a personal phone number that you attain through giving an ID. Is there any online services that give you the possibility to get phone numbers that cannot be traced back to you?

There are several services that offer a number just for signing up to a service like Signal. You can find them for 1-2$ per sign up. Some accept Monero as anonymous payment. However, you never have control over the number and these numbers are often shared between many users. That means you could loose your Signal account when you loose your phone or delete the app. Also you need to set up a profile password in Signal, so other users of the service won’t accidentally take over your account.
If you need a more stable solution, you can rent numbers online. These cost way more of course.
Depending on your jurisdiction, it might be legal to buy anonymous SIM cards (e.g. Czech Republic) in regular brick & motar stores with cash.
I always think of Signal something you use with your known identity, ie people who know who you are and likely you wouldn’t mind them having your real phone number.
For other online-only contacts I think Simplex, and Matrix make a lot more sense.

With the rather new username feature in Signal, you can connect & chat with others without ever revealing your phone number to them. Maybe that is sufficient for your needs.
