It is getting harder and harder. I suggest you acquire BTC first and then exchange it anonymously on the many platforms you can exchange without KYC.
I also suggest you store it in a good wallet like Cake Wallet.
But there are places like XMRBazaar where you can try your luck in the “gray” market.

I’m in the UK and I buy it from “DFX.swiss”, either via their website after making an account or via the Cake Wallet app. You need to do a bank transfer to a Swiss bank account. My bank doesn’t take fees for a this as it’s a SEPA transfer (both UK and Switzerland are in the Single Euro Payments Area despite not using the Euro or being EU members), but some UK banks might do, so check beforehand, or get a Euro account from an online bank to save fees. DFX doesn’t require KYC for amounts under €1000 or so. Their fees are 3.5% and you get the Monero once it arrives on their bank account which takes a few hours or maybe next day if sent late, so don’t panic when you don’t get it immediately. You get a reference number which you can use for setting up a standing order if you want.
