I have personally used Proton Pass alias and Alias Vault. I would recommend using Alias Vault
duck.com ones.
And for forums forwarding feature in dropmail.me as it gives unlimited subdomains (for example: test@domain.com
on dropmail = test@my-random-sub.domain.com
) and unlimited forwarding time. Also as I know their addresses is unique so it is unlikely that anyone will get same.
Alias Vault is still in active development and is in beta. It is not stable enough to fully move to it wholly. I would advise against it if this is the only option for aliasing youāre using.
Proton Pass and Simplelogin are the best options. If not, addy.io is also great.
Proton Pass and Simplelogin. I build a new Simplelogin email address for each new website contact. The new address has their business name in the alias itself. This also lets me see if they sell the email address.
One additional feature that I appreciate of Simplelogin is the ability create a āreverse aliasā and send a company an email directly from my Proton account without exposing my Proton email.
Same here, great experience so far. With the ānativeā integration in Bitwarden itās extremely effective and seamless, no hiccups so far.
Just be careful to not rely on them for important accounts.
As great as they are, it could easily be taken down and itās a real pain to replace all addresses on all accounts after the fact.
Iād say DDG as a company has a relatively decent track record. It can undoubtely be taken down any moment, though I donāt see why itās more risky than others.
I can say that in less than 1% of cases Iāve had sites reject @duck.com addresses, it happens with SimpleLogin too, though I think I can recall a couple of cases where it would take the SimpleLogin address and not the @duck.com one.
I am using Fastmailās alias service along with normal email services
I mostly use Appleās Hide My Email for inbound forwarding on sites / services that I donāt fully trust.
Im using Firefox relay.
Im using Addy.io, i pay $12 per year and have the possibility to create 50 different ones, it works perfectly, Addy has also the send feature where u can send Mails from the Aliases to anywhere.
50 Aliases are enough for me, i never use anymore than 20.
