What do you think about Mailum.com?

I am interested in a paid email service called Mailum.com. It appears to be run by former employees of OpenMailBox, which was once hugely popular. The free plan for this service is essentially receive-only (you can only send emails to mailum.com addresses on the free plan). Therefore, I am asking questions under the assumption that I will subscribe to a paid plan and operate my own domain.

Small off-topic:

It’s funny that the message says “To protect you from tracking, images are disabled”, simultaneously rendering images right under this message

If the images are included in the email itself then they aren’t tracking. Only remotly stored images can be tracked.

Poor wording on their end tho

Yep, that’s why it’s just “funny”, not false

I believe Mailium was previously called “cyberfear.com” which you can still use. If I remember correctly, they don’t use DMARK I believe is what it’s called. Seems some people had a problem with that, but I don’t know much about it.

Do a search on PG for cyberfear.com and you should be able to find more info

They do according to Internet.nl, and they get an overall score of 84%.

According to their website the free plan allows an unlimited number of emails to be received per hour and 2 emails to be sent per hour. It doesn’t say it’s only to other Mailum users.

Incidentally, I just tried to visit their subreddit and it says they are banned. Not sure if this is a good or a bad thing! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
