It works with e2ee and seems to preserve privacy as no one but the owner knows what data is being transferred.
How do you feel about this feature from the perspective of privacy?
You need to keep your location on at all times for it to work. How you feel about this will answer your question (there is no good or bad answer). I personally disable it.
