Uploading Keepass database to Proton Drive

Want an off-site copy of my Keepass database in case the worst should happen. Debating whether it’s safe to do so or not. Thoughts?

And if the answer is yes, it’s safe, what about encrypting the database beforehand? Good idea or pointless with PD being E2EE?

Keepass is already encrypted and ProtonDrive is E2EE, what’s the point in encrypting it further?

A little defense in depth should be ok if you can stomach the hassle.

Consider making a small veracrypt container (around 10MB) before uploading while you are at it. Its a hassle though but I’d consider this safer than say Bitwarden.

I hope the password vault doesnt change too often because uploading frequently is a hassle.

make sure your keepass db has a strong password, 100 bit of entropy is a good balance. then you are uploading to e2ee cloud drive. bro you are good dont worry :+1::+1:
