If I transfer my existing cell phone number to Google Voice, is it still tied to my identity?
My reason for this approach is I am trying to reduce my exposure to a Con Artist and schemes they may use against me. (I’m sure they have schemes that I have never heard of). I’m not spending a lot of time explaining my risk here, I’m seriously just wondering if transferring and my existing number to Google Voice will just keep me exposed or not.
Should I restate my question?

I heard that if I stated it as a “pseudo-Expert” Statement, such as:
You can disconnect your identity tied to a Cell number in the US by using Google Voice.
Then, wait for people who know to either correct me or agree?
