Sync youtube watch progress privately

I want to be able to sync watch progress across android and windows/browser

i want to avoid creating a google account , invidious does exactly what i’m looking for but Google has been hammering it down rendering it not functioning most of the time

so i’m looking for anextensioin/android app that lets me do the same thing
and if possible save playlists too , for now i am using raindrop.io bookmark manager to sync playlists (still looking for a FOSS alternative that also has e2ee)

grayjay and newpipe work fine on android and save the watch progress/playlists but don’t sync with other clients/platforms , freetube has apps for windows and android but no option to sync between them (yet)

I use an RSS reader to keep track of my YT subscriptions.

I do the same but i’m asking about watch progress like you reached half a video on the phone and want to resume it on pc , (with privacy tools and not a google account)

it seems grayjay is working on a desktop app :

so that seems the closest to what i need

should I just make a secondary Youtube account just for youtube ? because feature/stability wise the alternatives unfortunately are still lacking behind (because of the crackdown of Google)

With the new Grayjay desktop app there is a sync function across LAN that may sync watch progress. I haven’t checked myself but it’s something you could look at.

I personally just bookmark the video and name the bookmark to something like 25min. When I’m done, I delete the bookmark.
