I am a Stingle user with an active cloud subscription - I found your App in F-Droid
I am indeed a fan of the app you have produced. Besides having peace of mind that my data is secure I like the fact you allow users to organise photos in “proper” albums, not simply labels. This means that I can move photos to albums and then delete them from the main gallery without worrying about them disappearing from the album. This is a breakthrough feature for me.
A couple of questions:
Can you confirm if the app is still in development - I note a few bugs/UX issues
When you opt to delete the photo after it being copied to stingle this causes the app to crash
The app currently lacks full-screen edge-to-edge support on Android
A desktop app has been on the roadmap for a while - but I am yet to hear anything more about this. Having this would be great.
I would gladly sponsor beyond what I pay for the cloud service but this would only be in the same way I do for my other favourite FOSS tools (Joplin, Thunderbird, LibreOffice - $100-$200) so by no means a groundbreaking sum or enough to help you hire additional development resources.
Please do keep up the great work and development - I believe there is sufficient use-case and demand for what you’re offering.
Looking forward to an update soon.
Kind regards
James
No (legitimate) reason for this to be hidden. If anyone has objections pls raise below in thread..
I think migrating out of Stingle could be your solution. @alexamiryan doesn’t post since January and @rahar since 2024, maybe you should reach them directly if you really need some answers from them, because I doubt they’ll reach back to you here in the forum. You can see more in this thread: Remove Stingle .
